Lornafit FAQs

You’ll choose a workout from one of the 4 levels

  • Foundations
  • Basics
  • Intermediate
  • Advanced

It is recommended to begin at Basics. All the workouts within their level are also numbered.

Within each level there are choices for Kettlebell workouts with associated tutorials or dumbbell workouts.

For example

  • Basics level KettleX #1 is a Kettlebell workout
  • Basics level Start Me Up #1 is a dumbbell workout
  • Intermediate level KettleX #1 is a Kettlebell workout
  • Intermediate Fit & Fab #1 is a dumbbell workout… and so on.
  • 6-week program plans are also available to keep you on track

Not at all! More than half of the LornaFit workouts are with dumbbells, not Kettlebells. This way you’ll have plenty of options to choose from.

Absolutely! Each KettleX Kettlebell workout comes with a tutorial. These tutorials break down each Kettlebell movement into comprehensive, easy-to-follow parts which include how to hold the bell, how to move through the legs and how to breath. Along with step-by-step how to, there is also guidance on what NOT to do. This program makes it easy & fun!

You can, though I don’t recommend using gloves since it will interfere with your skin’s sensory feedback. This feedback is important for the position of the dumbbells and Kettlebell in the hand. But if you want to wear them, choose thin, fingerless golf gloves.

Suggested weights are listed for each workout, along with all the equipment used for the associated workout & I mention which weights to use within the workouts themselves.

The Intermediate & Advanced levels offer increases in weight for strength, longer duration for endurance & complexity of movements for joint stability.

  • There is some jumping throughout the program, but in each case there are accommodations offered for non-impact.

Yes! Those coming to the Intermediate & Advanced level workouts will experience an increase in the intensity, pace & weights (optional), creating more challenge than the Basics level workouts! Everyone will work at their own level, some perhaps slower than others. But the workouts are meant to come back to every few weeks, they weren’t created to be ‘one & done’. No matter your level coming into the program, you will be challenged!

3 workouts per week is average, with the addition of a stretch session if you can. Of course, if you’re feeling particularly sore, you should take a couple days in between workouts. You’ll also have the option to purchase 6-week program plans for your specific level! These program plans give you a calendar to follow so you can stay on track.

The equipment is shown below with suggested vendors.

There is no diet in the LornaFit program, but there are nutrition tips & guidance, as well as interviews of dieticians who offer insights for healthful eating habits.

Since this is an online program & everyone starts from a different place, it will be different for everyone. With consistency of 3 days per week, you should start to experience fat loss & more strength within 6-8 weeks. Keep in mind that the scale is not the best measure of progress since your body can change yet not lose weight. How your clothes are fitting & how you’re feeling in your body are better measures in the first couple months.

Only if you absolutely cannot purchase a Kettlebell. The 2 weights are very different, like a tennis ball vs a baseball; they allow for different types of movement. You’ll be missing out on a multitude of benefits if you’re not using them.
